The Texas Statewide Championship Series is divided into three regions:

• North Texas

• Central Texas

• South Texas
   

Racers earn championship points for each moto they compete in throughout their chosen region. Every moto at every round counts toward their overall championship point total. Points earned in one region will not transfer to another region. Riders must compete within their selected region to accumulate points towards the State Championship Title.

Double points will be awarded at both the Texas State Championship Shootout and the Texas State Championship Final.

Who can race the region events?
Riders from any state are welcome to compete in any of the Texas Statewide Championship region events and earn points toward a Texas State Championship Title.

What is the Shootout Race?
The Texas State Championship Shootout is the one event where riders from the North, Central, and South Texas regions come together to battle head-to-head before the State Championship Final.
 
This DOUBLE POINTS event gives racers the opportunity to see how they stack up against the top competitors from across Texas while earning valuable championship points.
 
Because double points are on the line, the Shootout can have a major impact on the championship standings. Racers who compete have the chance to gain a significant advantage over competitors who choose not to attend, making it one of the most important rounds of the entire series.

Who can race the Texas State Championship Final?
The Texas State Championship Final is open to everyone, regardless of whether or not they have competed in a region event.
However, Texas State Championships are awarded based on the total points earned throughout the entire series, including the Final. Riders who do not compete in the region events will begin the final with ZERO championship points.

What is the significance of the AMA Texas State Championship #1 Plate?

The Texas Statewide Championship Series is the only motocross series in Texas that awards the official AMA Texas State Championship #1 Plate. More than just a trophy, the coveted #1 plate represents the highest achievement a rider can earn at the state level and symbolizes an entire season of dedication, consistency, and championship-caliber performance. In amateur motocross, the AMA #1 plate is widely recognized as a mark of excellence that distinguishes champions from the rest of the field. It reflects a rider's ability to perform under pressure, compete against the best talent across the state, and earn their title through points accumulated over an entire championship season. For many racers, winning the AMA Texas State Championship #1 Plate is more than a season goal. How are points tallied per moto?

The AMA Texas State Motocross Championship Series uses a standard point system where riders earn points based on their finishing position in each moto per event. A first-place finish awards 25 points, with a decreasing scale down to a single point down to 20th. 

The points from both motos are combined to determine the overall event winner. The championship standings are calculated by the total points accrued across all events in the season.
